SimControl grants users the ability to reposition aircraft instantly, change the wind and weather, fail engine components or instruments for realistic training in your simulator and much more without ever needing to get out of the captain’s chair or pause the simulation.
We’ve been listening to user suggestions to make improvements for the next update… so far you can expect more detailed aircraft descriptions (so you can see the aircraft creator/publisher from SimControl). We also made the weather page even more intricate, adding a new cloud layer.

We are excited to let you know that we have submitted the first update to the SimControl app to Apple for review. We expect a smooth process in getting this update approved, and will let you know as soon as it is available for download. This update addresses a few bugs in the app; primarily, the weather page will no longer hide the bottom controls in landscape orientation, and the engine failures will now function more reliably. Additionally this update features a reworking of the failure system, allowing for future releases of the server program to adapt the available failures to better reflect the simulator or aircraft being flown. On the note of adapting to choice in simulator, work on X-Plane 10 support is in progress, but it is still too early to give a reliable release date, but we are really excited about getting this to you as soon as possible! As always, we value your feedback and want SimControl to be your app as much as it is ours, so let us know if there are any features you want to see or changes that would make it a better experience for you!
We are proud to introduce SimControl, the ultimate iPad application that will enhance your flight simulator experience unlike any other app on the market. This app gives you the power of a sophisticated instructor station, in your lap!
